Kennedy's Room
When you meet nine-year-old Kennedy, you would never know she is facing multiple health challenges! She is battling Cystic Fibrosis, Chronic Pancreatitis, Diabetes and TPIAT-Islet Cell transplant. She is smart, funny and articulate. And…
She loves Stitch from the Lilo and Stitch animated movie! She asked for a bunkbed
(she shares the room with her older sister), a vanity and lots of storage. Our team
went to work creating a Hawaiian-themed room to bring her a fun, tropical space.
Ray built a cool surfboard with acrylic shelves to hang on the wall, faux beams to put on the ceiling for a “beach vibe” and of course, a wall cutout of Stitch. Mike constructed a window valance and a valance for over the closet made out of Luau grass. Andrea and Jeremie designed and painted an awesome mural of tropical leaves and flowers and Dream Closets built and installed a great new closet system to utilize the space and accommodate two girls! Our prayer is that Kennedy will have many years of enjoyment in her new room and that it will be a reminder of God’s love for her. Mahalo for letting us be a part of your journey, Kennedy!
