Alesha's Room

12- year- old Alesha is not only a very special little girl, she is a miracle! Born with DiGeorge Syndrome, her medical history has been a fight from birth. And fight she has! Because of her medical condition and the Arizona heat, she is unable to be outside and play at the park, her favorite thing to do. She especially loves to swing so, we created Alesha’s very own park, in her garage. Through a huge logistics collaboration, a wall was built on the interior of the garage door, a state-of-the-art air conditioning system installed, artificial turf added and of course, playground equipment installed. An amazing faux tree, clouds, butterflies and flowers helped to create an "outdoor" feel and added a lot of fun to her space. We hope Alesha spends many, many happy days playing and swinging in the “park”!
