Alfonso's Room

11-year old Alfonso is an articulate, kind, mature young man. He was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia a little over a year ago and has had many adjustments to his life. Despite all of the physical challenges he is facing, he keeps a positive, upbeat attitude! He is an avid Fortnite player and has been spending a lot of his downtime playing the online game, recovering from a recent bone marrow transplant. Our team had lots of fun researching and creating a gamers retreat for him! Southwest Scenic Group produced a life-size Raptor character, Alfonso’s favorite, and a Fortnite logo sign with lights. Mike built a wall mounted controller/headset board and Dwight built Raptor’s Icebreaker Pickaxe. Marita painted an awesome mural on the wall and once all of the neon lights were installed, his Fortnite gaming room came to life! Alfonso…”start moving toward the bubble”.
