​Landon's Room

Landon is a 10 year old boy who spends most of his time in the hospital. He battles multiple diagnosis on a daily basis. He has a motility disorder of his colon, primary immune deficiency (his body is not capable of fighting off germs), CFTR dysfunction (related to cystic fibrosis), a central line (port) that goes into a vein near his heart, and a cecostomy tube that is used to flush his colon on a daily basis. Despite his multiple physical challenges and no matter what he goes through, he always has a smile and tries to make others laugh. He is charming and witty. Landon loves Star Wars! His favorite episode is, of course, the most recent Episode VII – The Force Awakens. He asked for a desk in his room for his gaming system, a starship from the movie and his favorite character is BB8. Our carpenters and artists worked diligently to fulfill Landon’s wish list. Using acrylic panels and LED lights, a desk was created that looks like the control panel inside a star ship. BB8 makes an appearance in several places in his room and he is now the proud owner of his very own star ship suspended from the ceiling! Each time he enters his new room, Landon will be transported to a “land far, far away”! ​
